Ireland’s Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Teagasc) is recruiting for the Head of Teagasc Climate Centre. This is a brand new role, responsible for leading and integrating the Teagasc research and innovation programme in the areas of agriculture, climate change mitigation, adaptation and sustainable food systems. The role will involve liaison with policy makers, state agencies, farm representative bodies and other key players in the agri-food sector. It will require strong collaboration with Irish research organisations as well as international institutes in the areas of climate mitigation research and sustainable food systems.
The role reports Teagasc’s Director of Research and will sit as a member of the Teagasc Leadership Team. Starting salary €113,688. It will be based either at Teagasc Johnstown Castle site in Wexford or at Teagasc Head Office in Carlow. (Other Teagasc research centre locations may be considered).
