Lamb greenhouse gas footprinting

The total GHG footprint for lamb was determined for NZ-produced lamb through the whole life cycle. This covered the on-farm stage for a range of farm classes (and a weighted NZ average), a wide range of lamb processors, shipping, through to the UK consumer including cooking and waste stages. This represented the first such study covering the whole life cycle and is being used to foster common methodology with other international lamb producers.
