Professor Tim Jackson’s work is concerned with consumerism and sustainable development, and the notion of prosperity as a way of moving into more sustainable futures. As he comments, "This is a story about us, about people…being persuaded to spend money we don't have, on things we don't need, to create impressions that won't last, on people we don't care about." He was recently awarded the Hillary Institute's Laureate award which is awarded for exceptional leadership on climate change. More here.
